Day 1
Met upon arrival by your private vehicle and professional driver/guide and transfer to your lodging for the night. At your lodge you will have a short safari briefing to prepare you for the next week or so.

Day 2
Today you set off on your adventure exploring the beautiful country of Uganda. Your drive southwards brings you to the relaxing Lake Mburo National Park where you have a chance to relax after your drive or alternatively explore this pristine park.
Overnight: Mihingo Lodge – beautifully designed rooms with en-suite facilities and dramatic views of the park (FB)

Day 3 
A day to relax back at the lodge and by the pool or alternatively explore Lake Mburo National Park. A variety of activities are on offer including game drives to see the variety of grazers in this area (there are no predators in this park), walking  safaris, boat trips on the lake or alternatively a relaxing massage back at the lodge.

Day 4
Early morning game drives prior to transferring to the renowned Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. You will have a chance to relax and take in your surroundings this afternoon prior to preparing for your first gorilla tracking experience in the morning…
Overnight: Buhoma Lodge – perfectly located for gorilla tracking. Traditionally built wooden en-suite rooms with a nice bar and lounge to relax in and reminisce after the days adventures (F/B)

Days 5, 6
These two days activities may be amongst the most exciting and challenging of our entire expedition. The Mountain Gorillas in Bwindi are part of a worldwide population of just 700 individuals. The gorillas we are allowed to track belong to one of three habituated family groups. For up to five years each, these groups have undergone an extremely delicate process that has gradually brought them to tolerate the presence of humans for a brief period every day and allowed a few privileged visitors to interact with them in the wild.

The gorillas are by no means tame, and are completely wild animals. However, experienced guides will accompany us on our tracking, many of who have been involved in the habituation process themselves. The guides will use their knowledge of the gorillas' habits and information from the previous day to locate the group's whereabouts.

Because of this, the time taken to track the gorillas varies enormously, from as little as half an hour to as much as 9 hours before one returns to camp. Once the gorillas are located, our group will be allowed a maximum of one hour with them. This is one of the world's truly memorable experiences - a look into one of these magnificent creatures’ eyes brings home the bond that exists between them and us. It also brings home the poignant fact that they are on the edge of extinction, and that our presence here contributes to ensuring their continued survival. Tracking the mountain gorillas is an awe inspiring experience and as you come across them in their forest surroundings all thought of fatigue disappear! The hour is often over all too quickly, and we slowly make our way back to our lodge to recount the day's adventures.

Day 7
A relaxing morning prior to setting off northwards to the southern section of Queen Elizabeth National Park, Ishasha. This is one of our favourite areas of Queen Elizabeth; based from the beautiful Ishasha Wilderness Camp we explore this remote corner of QE famous for its tree climbing lions. This area is also popular with migrating elephant herds, a variety of grazers and more and more frequently, leopards…Sit back and relax this evening on the banks of the river as you listen to the sounds of the wilderness unfold before you.

Day 8
Today you will explore Ishasha, the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth considered by some experts as one of the most alluring game viewing area of East Africa. It's an off-the-beaten-track destination that you will surely enjoy. We wake up early, of course, since this is the best time for observing nature. You start from the southern circuit in search of the elephants and we will drive over the plains of Ishasha in the open savannah. The southern circuit usually has large herds of buffalo, Uganda kob and topi. Near to the swamps of the southern circuit you might see even leopard. We continue and drive to the northern circuit which is the area near the main road known for its tree climbing lions.  We look particularly at the many fig trees where lions like to stay. But we also visit the Uganda kob mating ground which is their preferred hunting area.

Day 9
Morning game drives on your way out of Ishasha making your way northwards to the Kasenyi plains area of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Game drives along the way arriving at Mweya Safari Lodge in time for a relaxing lunch. Relax for a few hours before setting out again on game drives this evening. The Kasenyi plains area of the park is one of the best game viewing areas with some large herds of Ugandan kob which form the main prey base for the resident lion population.

Day 10
Morning game drives in search of the resident game of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This afternoon you join the Kazinga Channel boat trip. This is a fantastic boat safari renowned for its wildlife and bird viewing; a relaxing trip down the channel with chances of spotting elephant, buffalo, huge Nile crocodiles and much, much, more.

Day 11
A more relaxing morning with a short game drive as you leave the park. Today you drive northwards making your way to the town of Fort Portal and the gallery forest of Kibale. Along the way on clear days you have a chance of spotting the dramatic Rwenzori Mountains also known as the Mountains of the Moon. This evening you relax back at your lodge which is set amongst the trees of Kibale Forest.

Day 12
This 766-square-kilometer tropical rain forest is the natural habitat for an amazing 12 primate species, and contains the highest primate density of an area on Earth. Here, on a guided forest walk, you may find families of Chimpanzees and Red Colobus Monkeys chattering and swinging through the ancient forest trees. Some of the trees are 50 to 60 meters (150 to 180 feet) in height, and provide a majestic canopy for the profusion of rain forest life, including 325 bird species. Even though you may only rarely see them, the park is home to the largest population of Forest Elephant in Uganda, and is also home to Buffalo, Uganda Kob, Genet, Civet, Waterbuck and Bushbuck. This morning we track chimpanzees through this fascinating forest, following the well-marked trails. After lunch we visit a nearby forest swamp that is excellent for viewing more primates and other forest animals.

Day 13
This morning you transfer back to Entebbe (approximately 5hrs) in time for your international flight back home (subject to time of departure) (B)
