A 13 Day Wildlife and Beach Safari - From £3,800 per Person Sharing, Excluding International Flights
Day 1
On your arrival into Johannesburg you will be met by our representative who will assist you with customs and immigration before taking you to the
domestic terminal for your onward flight to Hoedspruit. From here you have a road transfer to the Makalali Private Game Reserve. Depending on your time of arrival you may the chance for an afternoon game drive or bush walk or alternatively you can relax at the lodge.
Overnight: Garonga Safari Lodge – has 6 tented rooms with en-suite facilities (indoor and outdoor shower) and a private balcony overlooking a dry river bed. There is a communal swimming pool (D)
Days 2, 3, 4, 5
You have 4 full days to enjoy the facilities and activities that this lodge has to offer. Activities include morning and afternoon game drives, bush walks, reflexology sessions and bush baths. If you don’t feel like going for a game drive then you can relax around the pool at the lodge and watch the game as they walk past.
Overnight: Garonga Safari Lodge (B/L/D)
Day 6
This afternoon you have a short flight back to Johannesburg where you have the rest of the afternoon at leisure.
Overnight: Airport Sun Intercontinental (B)
Day 7
After an early breakfast you head back to the airport for a morning flight to the island of Madagascar. From Antananarivo you get an internal flight north to Nosy Be where you will be met and transferred by boat across to the island of Tsarabanjina.
Overnight: Tsarabanjina - a private island consisting of 18 thatched bungalows constructed of indigenous timber with sea view terraces and cleverly located to give one the utmost privacy (B/D)
Days 8, 9, 10, 11, 12
Set amidst the Mitsio archipelago this is a mountainous island surrounded by beautiful white beaches and is an ideal place to relax after the last couple of days of exploration. Optional activities include: walks to the top of the mountain for spectacular views, snorkelling, sailing, fishing, diving, water skiing and excursions to the neighbouring islands in the archipelago. The restaurant is on a mezzanine level above the sand floored bar which both look out over spectacular sea views. Principally sea food based cuisine with the option to dine on the beach under the stars...
Overnight: Tsarabanjina (B/L/D)
Day 13
Today you transfer back to Nosy Be in time for your flight back south to Antananarivo. Depending on the flight times you may be able to connect with the South African Airways flight back to Johannesburg; otherwise you may have to overnight in Antananarivo and get the flight the following morning (B)
