Style: A large and homey lodge with stunning views of the rainforest, very comfortable with great attentive service.
Setting: Set in the southern part of Bwindi National Park, amidst the thickets of forest, Cloud’s provides the ultimate place to relax after a hard gorilla trek. The vistas are stunning, whether you are relaxing comfortably on your private veranda with a cup of tea and some nibbles, watching through the glass walls of your en-suite shower or enjoying a sundowner with the other guests, overlooking the dramatic Virunga Volcano’s.
Accommodation & Facilities: The 10 cottages are built from local volcanic mountain stone, two of which are double roomed family units. Each room is crisply decorated with clean lines and has a twin basin en-suite bathroom, separate lounge area with a cosy fireplace and a private veranda equipped with comfortable seating from where you can admire the surrounding views.
Dining: Cloud’s prides itself on its cuisine, making it all part of the experience. The staff are well trained and a majority are local to the area. Dining is usually in the main area however private outdoor dinners are available in a variety of locations if booked in advance.
There is also the opportunity for a traditional sundowner at the end of the day whilst being entertained by local performing groups.
Activities: The main activity is Gorilla Trekking; the starting point for the trek is just a short walk away, something you will really appreciate on your return! Other activities are available, such as guided forest walks, bird watching – over 350 species of bird have been recorded here - and a visit to the local community.

Responsible Tourism: Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge is very involved with the local Nkuringo community and a development fund ensures they benefit directly from each persons stay.
