Located only 5 minutes walk from Bwindi Park Headquarters Buhoma Homestead consists of 8 traditionally built wooden cottages. With en-suite bathrooms and hot and cold running water this is a lovely place to stay...if you're lucky you may even spot gorillas walking past the property!

Setting: Situated within the National Park, less than five minutes walk from the gorilla trekking start point
Accommodation & facilities: Eight, comfortable cottages each with its own private veranda, offering extensive views of the forest canopy of the National Park. Inside the spacious cottages have comfortable beds, a well appointed en suite bathroom with flushing toilet and a hot shower, some rooms have bath tubs.
An elevated lounge area, complete with bar and dining facilities, offers a cosy, comfortable environment in which to discuss the day’s activities around the fireplace.
Dining: Local and international cuisine is prepared using fresh local ingredients where possible.
Activities: Activities include gorilla tracking, forest walks, birding and cultural interaction

Responsible Tourism: Buhoma Lodge has been designed using sustainable local materials where possible, with the emphasis on natural products giving support to the local communities and businesses. Most staff are recruited locally and trained on site.
The water supply is gravity fed and solar power is used for lighting with power points limited to a central area allocated for recharging cameras and videos.
