Plantation Lodge
Plantation Lodge is situated close to the Serengeti, Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Parks, as well as the Ngorongoro Crater, making it an ideal location from where to explore the Tanzania Northern Safari Circuit.
Each of the rooms is individually styled, and ome have balconies with direct access to well maintained gardens. There is a swimming pool to enjoy during hot days and the food is freshly cooked, with fruit, vegetables and herbs grown in their own gardens.

Setting: Plantation Lodge is situated close to the Serengeti, Tarangire and Lake Manyara National Parks as well as the Ngorongoro Crater, making it an ideal location from which to explore the Tanzania Northern Safari Circuit. Rooms and delightful suites are distributed throughout the flowering garden.
Accommodation & facilities: Each room is individually styled with bouquets of fresh flowers from the garden and a choice of accessories. Some have balconies and direct access to well maintained gardens. Suites are luxuriously furnished in fine textiles, each a work of art.
There is a refreshing swimming pool to cool off in after a dusty safari with stunning views of the valleys, set in the extensive, park-like gardens.
Dining: Food and service are of a high standard, with vegetables, salads, herbs and fruit sourced from the 45-acre grounds. Lunches may be served al-fresco and a fine multi-course meal is served each evening in stylish surroundings. Fine wine from the cellar accompanies the evening meal.
Activities: Safari drives - The Ngorongoro Conservation Area starts just 20 minutes by car from Plantation Lodge. After a drive of a further half-hour visitors reach the edge of the crater at an altitude of 2,300 meters where they are rewarded with a breathtaking panorama.
Bird watching in the garden of Plantation Lodge is spectacular. Colourful birds such as Fischer’s lovebirds or the yellow-bellied sunbird are regular visitors to Plantation Lodge. Staff will explain the various bird species to you on a tour around the flowering garden.
Walks to a coffee plantation can be arranged where guests can learn how beans are treated and how the final product is made.
Guests can also choose to visit one of the farms adjacent to the lodge and gain an insight into African country life, observing how the people on the farm live and work.
