Faru Faru Lodge, Serengeti Migration Area

Faru Faru Lodge

Accommodating up to 22 guests, Singita Faru Faru Lodge is the third Singita lodge in Tanzania and is as luxurious as its sister lodges – Sasakwa & Sabora. Each of the nine suites has a reading and decking area giving you the chance to enjoy the African bush from the comfort of your room. The elevated viewing decks above the waterhole allow guests the chance to view game without even leaving the lodge and  Faru Faru boasts two rim-flow pools to cool off in during those hours between game drives.

Offering guests a relaxed and laid back atmosphere without jeopardising style and comfort, this is the ultimate in luxurious African lodges but maintains a laid-back rustic feel.

  • 9 luxurious suites
  • Two rim-flow pools
  • Children under 10 can be accommodated if the lodge is booked exclusively
  • Great for wildlife viewing

Style: An extremely luxurious African lodge, with a laid-back rustic feel.

Setting: Its setting on the riverside gives Faru Faru Lodge access to incredible wildlife viewing. Situated on a slope, with elevated viewing decks overlooking a watering hole, guests can view game without even leaving the comfort of the lodge.

Accommodation & facilities: The contrast of stone and canvas against cutting-edge design and comfortable furnishings is integrated in eight open-style suites and one Villa Suite.

The Villa Suite is made up of two identical double bedrooms and a large shared open space lounge/dining area. The bedrooms are en-suite with a bath and outdoor shower and all suites are air conditioned.

Each suite has a reading area, a huge picture window, personal bar and fridge, and a deck with Swarovski spotting scope. Electronic safes, overhead fans, hairdryers, direct dial telephones with US lines and wireless internet access are found within each suite.

The main lodge area offers a dining room, bar lounge with satellite television, DVD player and library, outdoor barbeque area and The Singita Shop.

The elevated viewing decks above the waterhole allow guests the chance to view game without even leaving the lodge and the Swahili inspired ‘beach’ area offers the opportunity for some serious relaxation.

Activities: Twice daily game drives operate in 4x4 vehicles, accompanied by professional guides. Balloon safaris across the Serengeti plains are available at extra cost. Faru Faru Lodge also offers other activities, including archery, stargazing safaris and mountain biking.

Spa and gym facilities are available at the lodge, and guests can purchase African artefacts and curios in The Singita Shop.

Child policy: Children under 10 years old can be accommodated if the lodge is booked on an exclusive use basis.
