Nature Lodge

An attractive lodge situated 30kms from Diego Suarez in the charming village of Joffreville. Nature Lodge provides an ideal base to explore the surrounding Amber Mountain Reserve. Guests have their own en-suite, spacious bungalows with private terrace and spectacular view over the bays and the mountains!

Style: Spacious bungalows and attractively designed bar and restaurant offering a warm and friendly service.

Setting: Nature Lodge is located on a hill two kilometres south of Joffreville and 30km from Diego Suarez, offering panoramic views of all the bays, the Mozambique Channel and the Indian Ocean.

Accommodation & facilities: Each of the 12 spacious (about 25 m²) bungalows is built from local woods and materials such as bamboo and has a private terrace with views over the bay of Diego and the mountains. En-suite bathrooms are 12m² and have a shower, with hot water, toilet and washbasin.

The restaurant has rosewood furniture and large wooden framed windows keeping it light and airy. The bar is well designed and tasteful with a small recreational area with games to play and a few books to read. There is also a nice lounge area extending out to a terrace with comfortable wooden seating and fantastic panoramic views to the north.

Dining: Meals are simply delicious with a good selection of fresh local ingredients and seafood on offer. The cosy bar also provides some great exotic cocktails to round off your day.

Activities: Guided walks, bird watching, spa & Massage. There are also trips to Montagne d’Ambre National Park, Ankarana Nature Reserve, la Mer d’Emeraude, the 3 bays, Diego Suarez, Nosy Hara and Nosy Be.

Child policy: Children are welcome but there are no facilities
