Follow the stony pathways through the lush and tropical gardens, full of beautiful trees and flowers to find Centre Est Hotel, offering comfortable thatched en-suite rooms next to Ranomafana National Park entrance. Rooms are practical, considering the climate, with tiled floors and whitewashed walls and there is a choice of different accommodation, either in the main hotel or a separate bungalow a little further out.

As well as being ideally located for access to Ranomafana National Park, there is also the hotels own private reserve 9km away in Mahakajy, where you will find 80 different species of orchid and lots of chameleons!

Style: A basic but cosy lodge in a national park setting.

Setting: The Hotel Centre Est is situated on a slope, ten minutes from the park entrance by car and near to Ranomafana village

Accommodation & facilities: The lodge sits off some quaint stone pathways that meander through tropical gardens prizing lots of local flowers and trees. The main lodge has standard, air conditioned rooms, with practical tiled floors, whitewash walls and pine covered ceilings. The rooms themselves are simple, but have all the essentials, with double or twin beds, an ensuite bathroom with showers and toilets, and mosquito nets.

On a hill slightly above the main lodge there are 9 traditionally built bungalows with thatched roofs and shared facilities, these rooms are cosier and offer spectacular views.

Facilities at Centre Est Hotel include a spacious restaurant with veranda, bar and small shop and there is a neat garden

Dining: There is a spacious restaurant with outside veranda. The menu’s are large and have a mixture of Malagasy cuisine, seafood, pastas and vegetarian options.

Activities: Explore Ranomafana National Park and find lots of rare and endemic species of lemur, as well as reptiles, amphibians and butterflies. There is also a variety of interesting Flora to be found in the rainforest park.
