Accommodation & Facilities: Ibo Island Lodge consists of three 100+ year old colonial buildings; this is a great place to relax. Two of these buildings, Paradiso and Niassa, provide the accommodation, whilst the third building, Bela Vista is the public area of the lodge and houses the Lodge's restaurant, shop and the main pool in the main garden. All of the bedrooms are individually designed with unique handcrafted furniture with many rooms opening onto private verandas. Each bedroom consists of king size beds (fitted with mosquito nets), air conditioning and a ceiling fan and en-suite bathrooms with twin facilities and marble showers.
Dining: The food is beautiful here, with fresh seafood platters and indulgent curries. Breakfasts and lunches can be enjoyed in the tropical gardens, on a deserted sandbar or even in the privacy of your own room. Dinners are extravagant occasions, served by lantern light under the stars on the rooftop terrace as you listen to the waves lapping the shore and the occasional dolphin call. Private dinners can be arranged in the tropical gardens by candle light for guests wanting that little bit of extra privacy.
Activities: Ibo Island Lodge is the perfect romantic getaway with palm fringed beaches, coral reefs and even its own shipwreck to explore. Sit back and relax or alternatively take advantage of the snorkelling, diving and kayaking, take part in the historical tour recounting the history of Ibo, go fishing or even go sailing in a traditional dhow!
