Style: A luxurious jungle lodge with a wide range of fantastic facilities and a strong focus on sustainable tourism.

Setting: Casa Corcovado is the closest lodge to Corcovado National Park, in south-western Costa Rica on the Osa Peninsula. The lodge is within a 170 acre private reserve surrounding the national park and access is only via boat from Sierpe.

Accommodation & Facilities:  Deluxe bungalows each have their own gardens, jungle mini bar and hammock outside. The emphasis is on attention to detail and you can’t look past the stunning Mexican tiling in the bathroom! These bungalows have a queen bed with two or three other smaller ones, depending on the amount of guests. Junior suites consist of 2 interconnecting suites, ideal for families or groups of friends. The Honeymoon suites are hidden away even more and boast ‘unpretentious comfort’, complete with little romantic gestures throughout. All of the suites have everything you could need, such as safes and 24 hour electricity (via hydroelectric and solar systems) and some great spots to unwind.

There are 2 swimming pools, one smaller spring fed called ‘The Forest’ pool and a new larger tiled pool divided into 2 sections, with a shallower part for children. There is a gift shop and office, as well as a restaurant, bar (which regularly attracts birds and monkeys), a tropical sand beach and a laundry service. As well as this there is Margarita sunset point and a meeting and lounge area.

Dining: Meals are freshly prepared and delicious, served in the cool and casual ambience of Los Vitrales Restaurant.

Activities: There are plenty of tours on offer, from hiking in Corcovado National Park and sport fishing to tours of San Josecito, Cano Island, the mangroves of Sierpe River and birding. There is also horseback riding through the rainforest, scuba diving and sea kayaking.

Child Policy: Children are welcome.

Responsible Travel: Casa Corcovado has a strong emphasis on eco-tourism and sustainable travel, working with nature. From the design of the accommodation to the use of energy supplies, everything is covered and they are happy to explain their policies.
