Sukau Rainforest lodge is built in traditional long house style with twenty twin bedded rooms. With a 1,500ft long board walk, 4 viewing platforms and an open air lounge this lodge provides the opportunity to relax whilst watching forest life go by. A great place to be situated for a wildlife safari with walks to the nearby ox-bow lake and river safaris available on a daily basis.

This 20 room ecolodge built in a Malay longhouse style is located in one of the worlds best wildlife sancturaries - the Kinabatangan River Basin.

Style: A Malay long house style eco-lodge

Accommodation & facilities: All twenty rooms are twin bedded with ceiling fan, mosquito netting, dressing table, ensuite bathroom with toilet, hot water, shampoo/soap dispenser and wall to wall ceramic tiles.

There is an open lounge area with ceiling fan, restaurant serving soft drinks, beer and wine, open deck, library, gift shop, covered varendah, enclosed hanging garden and solar water heaters.

There are four viewing platforms along the 1,500ft long Hornbill boardwalk which are great for photography.

Activities: River cruise, jungle walk, night cruise, boardwalk, birdwatching, abseiling, fishing, slide show, local home visitation, wilderness camping, cultural presentation.

Children: Children welcome but no facilities.

Responsible Tourism: Environmental standards are very important to the Sukau Rainforest Lodge which has its own code of practice. The lodge donates to Borneo Ecotourism Solutions & Technologies (BEST) which benefits the local community through conservation projects and is also involved in a tree planting programme in which guests are welcome to participate. The tour boats are equipped with silent electric motors which are used when getting close to the riverbank so as not to disturb the wildlife.
