The Safari experience was great, the resort on the Kinabatangan River (Myne Resort) was lovely and made truly marvellous by its hospitable staff. The food was excellent. We saw a large array of monkeys in addition to elephants! Mt Kinabalu was also amazing!

Borneo Rainforest Lodge is set in the fauna and flora rich Danum Valley; this rustic lodge caters for up to a maximum of 60 guests. The spacious main building offers an open veranda where the traveller can sit back and enjoy the incredible diversity of this forest environment whilst wooden chalets and bungalows provide comfortable lodgings for guests. The mist shrowded treetops and babbling river lull one to sleep after a days wildlife spotting.

The Borneo Rainforest Lodge is a basic and rustic lodge built in a remote rainforest beside the Danum River. The lodge accommodates a maximum of 60 people, ensuring each guest a unique and individual jungle experience.

Style: The Borneo Rainforest Lodge is a basic and rustic international-standard lodge built beside the Danu River.

Accommodation & facilities: 28 twin-bedded rooms in 23 bungalows accommodate a total of 60 people with two to three people each. Each has an en-suite bathroom and hot shower. Fans keep you cool, while verandahs overlook the rainforest.

The deluxe chalets are 20% larger and are newer than the standard chalets.

The central lodge is a large, airy building standing on columns of belian, Borneo's famous hardwood, and features a spacious verandah, dining area and well-stocked bar.

Dining: Good food served daily

Activities: Lodge activities include jungle walks, bird watching with resident nature guides, canopy walkways high above the jungle floor that allow the viewing of the rainforest from the treetops and night safaris with sights and sounds emanating deep from within the rainforest.

Child policy: Children accepted but no facilities.
