Setting: In the stunning Monteverde Cloud Forest, surrounded by tall trees, intriguing flora and an incredible biodiversity.
Accommodation & Facilities: All accommodation is in private suites, with their own entrance porches, bathrooms and queen size beds. Nestled into the forest, they blend naturally with their tropical surroundings and have a real secluded feel. Classic Mountain Suites have a cosy fireplace for those cooler nights, Fountain Suites have the added privacy of a Master Bedroom and Sunset Terrace Suites have fabulous views over the Gulf of Nicoya from the open air terrace. Built from dark woods, all suites include orthopaedic mattresses, a table and chairs and room service, sleeping up to 4 guests at a time.
Dining: The Sapo restaurant serves fresh local food, organic where possible and there is a fully equipped bar. There is also the Club La Guarida restaurant. Special dietary needs can be easily accommodated for is notified in advance.
Activities: There are 5 kilometres of self guided trails near the hotel so guests can explore the primary and secondary forests in their own time. These are exclusive to the hotel, offering a more private and unique experience, without the crowds. Guests may also visit the Santa Elena Rain Forest Reserve, the Bajo del Tigre Trail, join a canopy tour, enjoy the butterfly garden or the Serpentarium. Horseback riding is also available, as is mountain biking, touring the local cheese factory and art studios and slide shows. There are 4 pools at the hot springs where you can relax in the day, or under the romantic Costa Rican sky at night, surrounded by the sounds of the forest. OR you could get dropped off at Tamarindo, Flamingo, Manuel Antonio or Jaco beach, then get picked up later for an entire day to yourself.
